Introduction - Integrate. Automate. Innovate.
by David L. Vaughn
Director Aerospace and Defense, CD-adapco

"While preparing this introduction, I decided to take a trip back through history, by flicking through the back-issues of Dynamics magazine, going all the way back to the Summer of 1994, when we published the first ever issue. Obviously, during that time, the sophistication of the simulations undertaken by our users has increased (the first issue included a 2-D simulation of two trains passing), however what really struck me was the way in which CAE (and specifically CFD) has transformed from being a specialist R&D tool, to becoming a truly integrated part of the product design cycle."
